Overall Theme & Aesthetic
-Mood: Modern monochromatic white wedding
-Colors: Crisp white, Ivory, Off White, Bone and Translucent white
-Style: Sculptural Simplicity, minimal, soft architecture and textured play
If this mood board were a scent, it would be Nest’s Cedar Leaf & Lavender Candle. Clean, woody, fresh and calming. If it were a song; something elegant and timeless like The Very Thought Of You. While simple in the palette, this mood board is complex in its details and the evocative peaceful mood it brings.

ESTIMATED COST BREAKDOWN
1.Venue
-Blank Canvas, Rooftop, or Garden
$10,000–$20,000
Something to note is that with these types of venues, the cost will likely include site rental, permits, and staff/security. Be sure to ask the venue upfront what those might look like and if they are folded into the price offer already, or to be added on later. That way you can be sure to avoid unpleasant budget bumps down the road.
A venue that comes to mind with this vision is Sound River Studios.
Sound River Studios is essentially a blank slate with one of the best skyline views in the city. This means with the right planning team, vendors, and vision, you can transform the space into whatever world you dreamed. Something to note if you are a DIY couple; setting up a venue like this takes a lot longer due to the “bare bones” starting point. Build in time (and extra if you have it!) for set up and tear down.
Pro tip for planners reading this: wear super comfy shoes for set up. You will likely be doing lots of heavy lifting in these types of spaces to get the vision executed in time. Plus, lots of these gardens + blank canvas spaces are large and you will be getting those steps in! So pack your loafers to change into, but start that early morning set up in something supportive (but still cool af) like these.

***Want a more affordable option?***
1. Opt for a venue that has food included in the cost. We love The Wythe hotel for this vibe
2. Be mindful of your guest count, keep it intimate about 50-75
2. Florals
-White-on-White, Modern Vessels
$12,000–$20,000
What's included in the cost? Ceremony install, centerpieces, bud vases, personals*, and candles.
* Personals is an industry term meaning bouquets + boutonnieres, like this gorgeous bridal bouquet from Bloom Bloom Studios.
***Want a more affordable option?***
1. Lean into bud vases
2. Choose ceremony florals that can be repurposed to different areas of the wedding.
3.Rentals
-Tables, Chairs, Linens, Flatware, Glassware
$8,000–$12,000
What's included in the cost? Ghost chairs or white chiavari, white linens, layered dinnerware (charger, salad, entrée plate), cut crystal and glass candlesticks
Vendors we love for this look: Party Rental Ltd, Nuage, Broadway Party Rentals
***Want a more affordable option?***
1. Skip outside rentals and opt for what the venue provides
2. Lower your guest count since rentals are usually a cost per person
4. Draping & Lighting
-Ceiling fabric draping, installation labor, uplighting, soft ambient lighting
$6,000–$20,000
Vendors we love for this look: Shades of Grey Production and Josi Blue
Draping is one of those “looks easier then it is” styles to pull off DIY. Unless you have experience in event planning, design, or something adjacent like experience working in a theatre, leave this one to the experts.
Bride Magazine has a super helpful article on draping that is worth pinning here.
***Want a more affordable option?***
1. Keep draping for the ceremony only and then repurpose the fabric structure for a photo moment in the reception.
5. Photography
$10,000–$18,000
Vendors we love for this look: Nicole Plett & Ruby Olivia Photography

6. Catering & Bar
-Cocktail hour, plated dinner, dessert, premium open bar
$25,000–$35,000
Vendors we love: Comparti and Deborah Miller Catering
Comparti also has a NATURAL WINE BAR option. That just feels so correct for this mood board, doesn’t it?
7. Entertainment
-Ceremony musicians, cocktail hour trio, reception DJ or band
$8,000–$20,000
Vendors we love: Hudson Horns + Cafe Wha
Since the palette is neutral and therefore simple, a big way to have impact and elegance is a live band. Strings, brass- whatever your style; the instruments themselves stand out as a point of decor amongst this vision. Classically contemporary.
***Want a more affordable option?***
1. Get yourself a DJ
8. Planning & Design
-Full service planning, design direction, vendor coordination, styling.
$22,500 +
Vendors we love: THE PRIVILEGE IS MINE ;) Keep an eye on our sister company, TPIM’s, instagram this weekend for a wedding designed by Chanler + planned by Nicole to get an idea of what “planning and design” looks like.
9. Cake or Dessert Bar
-(White/Minimal Aesthetic)
$1,000-$2,000
Vendor we love for this look: A Simple Cake. I haven’t stopped dreaming of their “Me Espresso” cake since I saw it on their insta.
Total Estimated Budget:
$102,500 – $169,500
White on white isn’t boring or playing it safe or “too bridal”. As Noora Hefzi wisely said, “There is luxury in simplicity.” So start your own ivory dream board and start a bubble bath (everything style, please!) and let your wedding dreams be in the luxury clouds.
ps. We have pulled some fav images from our recent weddings with THE PRIVILEGE IS MINE. Print them, pin them, pull them into your canva planning template and start dreaming. ☁️
