For the couple who...is in their flower era
When love is in bloom and so are the tablescapes. 🌸
Overall Theme & Aesthetic
-Mood: Ethereal, Joyful and Artfully romantic
-Colors: Blush Pink, Butter Yellow, Dusty Lavender, Poppy Red and Soft Grey/Silver
-Style: Whimsical Garden, Romantic
The whimsical romance of the floral theme lends itself to a Bridgeton/Pride and Prejudice/ Enchanted feel. Think English countrysides, playfully jolly boutonnières and accessories, and fairy tale-forward details like these plates from Etsy.
Pro tip: you will likely be using rentals for the plates (or in-house depending on your venue). Buying a few custom decorative plates like these gorgeous ceramic ones can help personalize your space. Use one to hold matchbooks on the bar, pens next to the guestbook, even to hold toiletries in the bathrooms. That way you will keep surprising your guests with whimsy without breaking the bank.

There is something both unexpected and totally timeless about this Moodboard. It is what makes it one of my favorites; a blend of old and new. Flowers are a timeless and very “traditional” element of weddings. Centering the design around them thematically evokes a sense of romance and elegance naturally (pun intended).
What makes this design particularly fresh and new is the combination of colors and textures Gala uses to bring a youthful vibrance to the forefront.

We love seeing Butter Yellow everywhere this summer from our baguettes to our go-to Theory Linen midi. By combining Butter Yellow with unexpectedly bright counterparts such as Poppy Red, the palette remains playful while allowing room for more accent pops (like the green you see in the linens) to add dimension.
Is your favorite flower not on the board? Use ours as inspiration when meeting with your florist, but be sure to ask their thoughts on swapping out certain varieties pictured for your personal favorite. They will have expert advice on how to fold that color into the palette or make adjustments to the selection to bring balance to your vision. Pro tip: many colors can be at play here.
Take this example from one of our weddings last November with THE PRIVILEGE IS MINE at Blue Hill planned by TPIM Head Planner, Chanler Camp. Dusty Lavender and Poppy Red are present throughout, but the florist, Nicole Ko, was able to celebrate a vibrant diversity of color as well.
Want something fun to carry your theme day to day in a personal way? Try a deeply floral perfume that becomes your signature scent for the weekend. We love Jo Malone’s Poppy and Barely because it is floral and romantic without saying Granny’s closet. A slippery slope when it comes to flowery perfumes, we know! :)

While this category is pretty self explanatory, a fun detail to bring this design to life is to bring parasols for bridal party photos. CEO and founder of both ALTARE and THE PRIVILEGE IS MINE (and Head Planner for over 300+ weddings in NYC), Lara Mahler, made this recommendation for one of our weddings at Wave Hill. See how cute it turned out!

Something to note is textured bud vases and glassware can be sourced from antique stores as well as online. A dear friend of mine sourced all her own glassware from antique stores for months leading up to the wedding. Such a fun budget saver and unique way to personalize the experience. Bonus: let the guests each choose their fav to take home as their wedding favor.
Don’t have time for a good ol’ shopping hunt? I used these recently for a reunion event in Midtown and they added the perfect touch of grounded elegance to the banquet table; for only $15! We also love these from Jenny Kayne for a larger statement piece.
Total Estimated Budget:
$44,500 – $68,700
For this Moodboard to really come to life we estimate a budget of $44,400 - $68,700 and note that this is not including catering, hair and makeup, attire, wedding planning, and transportation.
